Ice Kachang, for the merry carouser
by Donn Koh
Have you conquered it yet? It's only the steepest ice-capped mountain in tropical Singapore -- the Ice Kachang. It sits precariously on a majestic crust of corn, beans, and an army of squiggly green jelly worms, braving drizzles of sweet milk, showers of syrups, and the occasional hails of cocktail fruit. Scaling this great kopitiam beauty is no easy feat: wtart from the peak and make the treacherous descent down the bowl, but beware the rapidly melting ice!
