Shophouse Tin Cans
by Singapore Souvenirs for Museum Label
Shophouses are a type of traditional housing in Singapore dating back to the 1840s. Made as one of the Great Singapore Souvenirs, these last-remaining shophouses are photographed and appropriated onto tin cans seem apt as they both share similar structure and form. With each side of the cans printed with different shophouses, they can be lined next to each other to create a miniature heritage street like the old times in Singapore.
